Mountain Walk

Between the remains of an old iron mine on the top of Storhaugen in Northern Norway, a huge pile of iron ore is looking like a small mountain. The ore mountain, ment to be transported down to the shore and processed into iron, cast a huge shadow over the landscape as if it’s a pyramid in the late evening sun.

I climbed the mountain, to explore and experience the spacisiousness of the landscape, the huge pileof rocks and the shadow it cast. Mountain Walk is an exploration of the local environment and plays with light and shadow, reality and projection and temporary space created by the natural landscape.

Mountain Walk was part of the National Autumn Exhibition 2024 in Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo. The work is published as an edition of 8 + 1 AP, packed in a handmade casing. It’s for sale at Atelier.art or through my own studio. Please send me an email if you’re interested.
