5 Tiles

5 Tiles is a series of 5 works, all measuring 45 by 45 centimeter, with a variable depth between 3 and 5 centimeter. They are layered material paintings, made of almost any common building material I could found in wood dealerships and construction markets. In this series I limited myself to 3 different geometrical shapes all related to architecture and spaces we inhabit.

The depth of each tile is determined by the amount layered materials, which has been chosen for its non functional properties.
